Jeffrey Brown | President
Jeffrey has been involved in paddlesports for over 3 decades and has been involved in several wilderness paddling expeditions and first descents. Jeffrey enjoys exploring new lakes, rivers and coastal regions in North Carolina and the Southeastern United States. In addition to stand up paddling, Jeffrey is also an avid mountain biker.

Kurt Weigand | Vice President
Kurt’s passion is paddleboard races and he has competed in some of America’s toughest races including: The Chattajack(31 mile race), The Carolina Cup open ocean race and many others. Kurt own’s Creative Construction, a Western North Carolina based home renovation and construction company.

Holly Swanger | Education Director
Holly has been a long-time paddleboard instructor and it a Level 2 certified SUP instructor. Holly enjoys regular paddles on mountain lakes and rivers, and does frequent trips to coastal areas of North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida. Holly also enjoys expedition sailing as well.

Steven Sanders | Expedition Director / Secretary
Steven has been an avid paddler for over 30 years and is an accomplished expedition trip leader to remote paddles in the United States as well as Northern Canada. Steven enjoys multi-day river camping trips in locations throughout the Southeastern United States.

Lee Perry | Treasurer
Lee is a recently retired middle school teacher and does frequent day trips to various lakes, rivers and coastal areas around the United States. Lee is also an accomplished master level swimmer and can often be seen paddleboarding with his dog Major.

Sean Harris | Communications Director
Sean is a life-long outdoor enthusiast and has been living in the Cary, North Carolina area for the last decade. Sean enjoys both paddleboarding and kayaking as well as mountain biking throughout the United States.
