Our February, 2022 meeting took place in Asheville, North Carolina and had a pretty good turnout despite the inclement weather.
Vice president Kurt Weigand and Executive Director Jeffrey Brown opened the meeting at 6:10 p.m. with 11 members attending. We had this meeting available via Zoom as well.
New Business:
A. Lake Lure Paddling Trip Cancelled
Kurt discussed the reasons last weeks paddling trip to Lake Lure was cancelled due to icy road conditions. He is planning reschedule next month and will update it on our calendar.
B. Communications:
Sean Harris said he will continue to keep current material on the website current and up to date, including upcoming paddling trips, and removing old material from the website. Sean is also continuing work on the paddling location library as well.
C. 2022 Carolina Cup SUP Race
The upcoming Saturday, April 30th paddleboard race was discussed in detail. This is a premiere, world class event. More information can be found here.
